Samantha at Brahmotsavam Shoot

Prince Mahesh Babu’s next project under the direction of Srikanth Addala, will go on floors from the second week of September.Tilted Brahmotsavam, the movie is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual which will be produced by Prasad V Potluri under his PVP Cinema banner.

Gorgeous actress Samantha, who is playing one of the three female leads in the film is very excited to join the shoot which will kick start on the 20th of September. Along with Samantha, Kajal Aggarwal and Pranitha Subhash are also playing the female leads in the film.

NTR’s next Huge Set in London

The most Telugu films that are shot abroad without erecting any set, the makers of NTR’s upcoming film erected a huge office set worth 60 lakhs inside the office of the Authority Head Quarters in London. Crucial interval episodes will be shot in this set. The film’s  art Director Ravindar took help from the London Film Union to erect the set.

Tentatively titled Maa Nannaku Prematho, the film is touted to be an action drama with ample doses of father-son sentiment. Director Sukumar will be showing NTR in a never seen before character and NTR’s looks have already become a rage among his fans.

Rakul Preet is the film’s heroine and senior producer  BVSN Prasad is producing this high budget entertainer.

Puli Telugu Dubbed Movie Audio Launch

Tamil superstar Vijay’s upcoming socio-fantasy thriller, Puli, is getting ready for a grand release on the October 1st. Directed by Chimbu Devan, the film has Shruti Haasan and Hansika as female leads. It will simultaneously release in Tamil and Telugu.

As per the latest update, the makers are planning to release the Telugu audio on September 6th in Hyderabad. SVR Media has bought the Telugu rights for a whopping price. Yesteryear actress Sridevi and Kannada’s top actor Sudeep are essaying crucial roles in the movie. Music sensation Devi Sri Prasad has composed tunes for this film.

Kamals New Film Cheekati Rajyam to release in November

Universal actor Kamal Haasan’s upcoming bilingual thriller,Cheekati Rajyam,is in the post production phase and the trailer will be unveiled very soon. Trisha Krishnan is the female lead in the film which also features Prakash Raj, Madhu Shalini, Sampath Raj and few others in crucial roles.

As per the latest update, the makers of the film are planning to release it in the second week of November. However, an official confirmation in this regard is yet to be received. Rajesh M Selva is the director and Raaj Kamal Films International is the production unit behind the project.

Taj Mahal to turn Blue on Nov 13/14

 India’s most famous heritage icon, the Taj Mahal, will turn Blue on the intervening night of November 13/14, to commemorate the World Diabetes Day on November 14.

A Blue Circle is the universal symbol of diabetes just as the looped red ribbon is symbolic of HIV.

The Union Health Ministry and anti-diabetes activists have obtained the permission of the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) to give permission to light up the Heritage Monuments to spread awareness against the disease of Diabetes that affects nearly 51,000,000 Indians.

The International Diabetes Federation (IDF) is organizing the Diabetes Blue Fortnight programme starting from November 14, in association with World Health Organisation (WHO), National Diabetes, Obesity and Cholesterol Foundation (NDOC), Heal Foundation, Project Hope, and Fortis Hospitals.

Other Indian Heritage Monuments that will be lit up in Blue Circle include Old Fort, Red Fort, Qutub Minar and Humayun Tomb in Delhi; Imambada in Lucknow; Manek Chowk and City Palace Ground in Udaipur; Sidhivinayak Mandir and CST Station in Mumbai; Sahniwada Fort in Pune, 13 Gates of Ahmedabad; Konark Temple in Orissa and Victoria Memorial in Kolkata.

Globally, the iconic monuments that will be lit in blue include the Inverness Castle in the UK; Fountain Teatro Valli and Reggio Emilia in Italy; Bomb monument in Hiroshima; Union Square in San Francisco and CN Tower and Niagara Falls in Canada.

The IDF has made arrangements for over 900 monuments and buildings in 84 countries to be lit up in blue on November 14, the World Diabetes Day.

The thread claimed the snake was one of two enormous boas found by workers clearing forest for a new road. They apparently woke up the sleeping snakes during attempts to bulldoze a huge mound of earth.
“On the third dig, the operator found there was blood amongst the soil, and with a further dig, a dying snake appeared,” said the post.
“By the time the workers came back, the wounded boa had died, while the other snake had disappeared. The bulldozer operator was so sick that he couldn’t even stand up.”The post claimed that the digger driver was so traumatised that he suffered a heart attack on his way to hospital and later died.The dead snake was 55ft (16.7m) long, weighed 300kg and was estimated to be 140 years old, according to the post.

ప్రైవేట్‌తో పోటీకి RTC సై అంటోంది. వరల్డ్ క్లాస్ మల్టీ యాక్సిల్ ఓల్వోలతో రెడీ అయింది. ఓల్వో లే కాదు.. మెర్సిడెజ్ బెంజ్, AC బస్సులు ఇప్పుడు RTCకి న్యూలుక్ తెస్తున్నాయి. ఆర్ టి సి అంటే ఎర్రబస్సులనే నానుడిని చెరిపేసే ప్రయత్నం యాజమాన్యం చేస్తోంది.


డొక్కు బస్సులతో ప్రయాణికుల మన్నన కోల్పోయిన RTC.. ఇప్పుడు ప్రైవేటు ఆపరేటర్లకు ధీటుగా కొత్త లుక్‌ను సంతరించుకుంటోంది. ఆసియా లోనే అతిపెద్ద రవాణా వ్యవస్థగా రికార్డుల కెక్కిన ఆర్ టి సి వద్ద మొత్తం 22వేల బస్సులున్నాయి. వీటిలో నాలుగో వంతు బస్సులు కాలం చెల్లిపోవడంతో నిర్వహణా వ్యయం పెరిగి యాజమాన్యానికి తల బొప్పికడుతోంది.


ఏ బస్సు ఎక్కడ ఆగిపోతుందో తెలియని పరిస్థితి. అసలు RTC బస్సుల్లో ప్రయాణమంటేనే జనం బెంబేలెత్తిపోతున్నారు. దీంతో ఆక్యుపెన్సీ రేషియో భారీగా పడిపోయి RTC నిండా మునిగిపోయింది. రెండు వేల కోట్ల రూపాయల అప్పుల్లో ఉన్న సంస్థను గట్టెక్కించాలంటే వీటిని మార్చడమే మార్గమని యాజమాన్యం నిర్ణయించింది. దీంతో ఆరు వేల డొక్కు బస్సులను వచ్చే యేడాది లోపే మార్చేయాలని చూస్తోంది.


ప్రభుత్వం అందించిన ఆర్ధిక సాయంతో ఇప్పటివరకూ రెండు వేల బస్సుల్ని కొనుగోలు చేసిన ఆర్టీసీ డిసెంబర్ కల్లా మరో రెండు వేలు, వచ్చే ఏడాది ఇంకో రెండు వేల బస్సులు కొనుగోలు చేసేందుకు రుణ హామీలు సంపాదించింది.
RTCకి గట్టిపోటీ ఇస్తున్న ప్రైవేట్ ఆపరేటర్లు అధునాతన ఓల్వో, బెంజ్, నిస్సాన్ బస్సుల్ని రోడ్లపైకి దించారు.


వారితో పోటీ పడలేకపోతున్న RTC పాత ఓల్వో బస్సులతోనే కాలక్షేపం చేస్తూ ప్రయాణికులను దూరం చేసుకుంది. రవాణా మంత్రి బొత్సా సత్యనారాయణ RTCకి అండగా నిలవడంతో సంస్థ కొత్త గెటప్‌ను సంతరించుకుంది. ప్రైవేటు ఆపరేటర్లతో పోటీకి సిద్దమంటోంది. ఓల్వో, బెంజ్, ఇంద్ర వంటి 20 AC బస్సుల్ని రంగంలోకి దించిన ఆర్ టి సి జనవరి కల్లా మరో నలభై బస్సుల్ని సిద్దం చేయనుంది.


ఎసి బస్సుల్ని RTCకి అద్దెకిచ్చేందుకు ప్రైవేట్ కంపెనీలు ముందుకొస్తే వాటిని తీసుకోవడానికి కూడా సిద్దమేనని రవాణా మంత్రి బొత్సా ప్రకటించారు.
సమ్మె దెబ్బతో వందల కోట్లు నష్టాన్ని కూడగట్టుకున్న RTC మూడొందల బస్సుల్ని ఒకేసారి ప్రవేశపెట్టడం ద్వారా పాసెంజర్స్‌కు దగ్గరవ్వాలని చూస్తోంది.
