Story: A spiritual tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Shirdi and here comes a young boy out of nowhere and he does some unusual miracles. This brings him some following among the locals (sarath babu, rohini hattangadi and others). But the boy’s presence causes inconvenience to the village head Bhatia (sayaji) who craves for attention. One incident happens and the boy disappears. He returns only after few years and the village people are happy. They name him as Sai Baba (nagarjuna). From then on, Sai helps all those in trouble and becomes like their God. But that doesn’t stop Bhatia from trying various methods to put a check on Sai Baba. What happens after that forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a known storyline and while the presentation was average, the narrative was not that gripping.  The dialogues were weak, the script was just okay and the screenplay was adequate. Background score was good at places but songs didn’t have that devotional fervor. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing was standard. Costumes were suiting the situation while the art department was apt. The film belongs to Nagarjuna as he delivered his role with grace and maturity, he was good. Sayaji Shinde made his presence felt with his negative role. The rest of the cast like Srikanth, Sarath Babu, Vinaya, Ali, Ananth, Srihari, Dharmavarapu and others did their bit as required and filled the screen.
Conclusion: The film has come in with a lot of hype and given the fact that it has the likes of Nagarjuna and it deals with the theme of the new age god Shirdi Sai Baba, the expectations are high. But then, the film has not been made with that kind of emotional intensity or spiritual strength. While the first half passes off smoothly, the second half has few drags but it picks up during the climax. Overall, this is a film which should be watched without much expectation. At the box office, this has enough potential to reach a safe zone but it cannot be given a rating because of the genre.

Idlestars verdict: Sai devotees would connect to it!!
