Story: A rustic tale, the story is set on the backdrop of a village and here lives Kuruvi (vidharth) who has a wayward style of life. However, he is harmless but his style of living despite having an unmarried elder sister and a mentally challenged younger sister doesn’t go well with all. His life takes a turn when he comes across Krishnaveni (sanchita) and both of them fall in love. This also brings a change in Kuruvi but the society doesn’t allow him. Amidst this comes the big man of the village Nagendran (ravishankar) who plots a conspiracy and traps Kuruvi. What happens from there forms the rest of the story.
Presentation: The director has come up with a simple storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was appealing. The dialogues were entertaining, the script was written with sensibility and screenplay was prompt. Background score was good and two songs were decent. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing was apt. Costumes were average while the art department was rich. Vidhaarth gives a decent act as a rustic villager, Sanchita looks simple and does her bit as required. Ravishankar was menacing. The others were there to fill the screen.
Conclusion: The new wave of Tamil films has begun to come up with more of natural storylines and realistic people. The same is the case with this film. While the first half goes about in the lighter note with elements of romance and comedy, it is the second half that gets serious and also has a strong emotional quotient. Overall, this is a film which would appeal to audience who like realistic films. At the box office, this has the potential to score above average collections.
