Viswaroopam out from Pongal Race

Kamal Haasan starrer Viswaroopam has opted out of Pongal race in AP as two of the big releases Naayak and Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu are gearing up for release.

Besides playing the lead, Kamal Haasan has also wielded the megaphone and produced the movie. Though he initially thought of releasing all the three Tamil, Telugu and Hindi versions simultaneously, now the latest updates reveal that Telugu version of the movie will hit the screens in January end.

Vishwaroopam casts Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah and Rahul Bose in other important roles. The Hindi version rights were bagged by Ekta Kapoor which will release simultaneously with Tamil for Pongal. Shankar Ehsaan Loy composed the musical scores for this action entertainer.

Yemito Ee Maaya New Movie Launch Tomorrow

Hero Sharwanand new movie ‘Yemito Ee Maaya’ under the direction of Cheran will be launched tomorrow morning at Ramanaidu Studio.

Nithya Menon is roped in as heroine opposite Sharwanand in this romantic entertainer.

Produced by Sravanti Ravi Kishore, ‘Emito Ee Maaya’ will begin the shoot in January 1st week.

Samantha Hiked her Remuneration

Tamanna Bhatia, Trisha Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Ileana D’Cruz are highest paid actresses in Telugu film industry. Now, actress Samantha, who has got rave reviews for her performance in Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu, has joined the league. According to reports, she is being paid a biggest amount of money as remuneration to act in young tiger Junior NTR’s upcoming movie.
Samantha’s demand has shot up after the huge success of Eega. Although she has been flooded with several offers, she has picked hardly a few of them. Now, reports suggest that she is offered a package of Rs 1.25 crore, which is next to that of Ileana D’Cruz, who charged Rs 1.5 crore for Snehithudu. Her remuneration suddenly got increased after producers Dil Raju and Bellamkonda Suresh vied for her dates.
It is reported that Dil Raju and Bellamkonda Suresh are producing two different movies with Junior NTR and both the producers approached her to act opposite the same hero, But Samantha has reportedly accepted the offer of Bellamkonda Suresh, who has agreed to pay Rs 1.25 crore for his much-hyped project.
But a close friend of Samantha has denied the reports saying that it is a baseless rumour. He adds that the actress herself does not
know how this rumour started and these figures are just unbelievable. However, she will do films of both Dil Raju and Bellamkonda Suresh back-to-back.

Kajal's interest on Vada Pav

The top most heroin Kajal Agarwal is busy in Europe for her southern projects. missing Mumbai's spicy street food, especially the good old Vada Pav, terribly. She even tried to find this item in many of Indian restaurants. But she failed to have the exact taste of it.

Kajal has been signed to feature opposite Akshay Kumar in Bollywood movie "Special Chabbis", directed by Neeraj Pandey. 

Suriya goes the Karthi way

Actor Suriya seems to have gone the Karthi way. Taking cue from his younger brother Karthi, Suriya has opted to dub his own for Maattrraan.  Sources say that Maattrraan is all set for release in Telugu as Suriya enjoys a good patronage in Telugu filmdom. Buzz is that the film would be dubbed and released along with the original version on 12 October.

The film stars Kajal Agarwal in the lead. Music is by Harris Jeyaraj.  Produced by AGS Entertainments, the movie is all complete and post productions works are on. The film features Suriya in the role of conjoined twin. Karthi has been dubbed his own for all Telugu films. Now Suriya is all set to repeat the act. Sources say that Suriya will do the same for the Telugu version of Maattrraan.

Thuppaki for Deepavali

In spite of the row over the title, the crew of Thuppaki has confirmed that the movie would hit the screens this Deepavali.
Directed by A R Murugadoss, the film stars Vijay, Kajal Agarwal in the lead roles with music by Harris Jeyaraj and cinematography by Santosh Sivan.

Post production works are on and buzz is that Gemini Films are planning to go ahead for Deepavali.  Buzz is that in case of any issues, they may opt for a title change.

Vidya Balan open to doing Southern movies

Actress Vidya Balan says she won't mind working in southern language movies if she comes across a good script.

"If I get a good script, I would be more than happy to work in Telugu, or a Tamil or a Malayalam film...I've got many scripts and offers over the year, but nothing really exciting so far," Vidya said during a chat on AirtelTalk2Me.

Meanwhile, the 33-year-old is riding high on the success of her new film "The Dirty Picture", an unofficial biopic of Southern sex siren Silk Smitha. Vidya is earning rave reviews for her bold performance in the film.

The actress is now gearing up for her next, "Kahani", in which she plays a six months pregnant woman who comes from London to Kolkata in search for her missing husband.

Directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film will release in March next year.
