Big B's 'Aankhen' sequel on the cards

Filmmaker Gaurang Doshi has planned on a sequel for his critically acclaimed film 'Aankhen' of 2002 that featured veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and Sushmita Sen in lead roles. However, producer Doshi has confirmed that he would surely get on board Senior Bachchan but is unsure to rope in the rest of the old cast of the film.

'Aankhen' was directed by Vipul Shah. However, this time Gaurang Doshi is in search of a new director to direct his production venture as the duo filmmaker's friendship went kaput during the making of the film 'Aankhen'. The sequel would be shot in different countries out of India including, Canada and England.

The film would go on floors this year and is expected to release next year. Doshi has asserted that he would soon make an official announcement for the film and would also reveal the other cast of the film.
