“Midhunam”,
a warm love story of an aged couple is the directorial debut of the literary
wizard, who has contributed immensely to the performing arts. The movie is an
adaption of a novel with the same name, authored by Sreeramana. Bharani had
read the novel around 15years ago and it created an indelible impression on his
mind, paving the vision to bring it to life as a full length feature film. It
was from then, that he had been carving his artistic intellect building the
movie by each scene and essence to be filled in. He created the entire movie
with the right chords in the celluloid of his mind.
Mesmerised
by the story of a retired couple who live a happy life, Bharani even visualized
how the characters would be and who they would be. That is how the story got
carefully crafted with seasoned artistes Lakshmi and S.P.Balasubramanyam
stepping into the roles of Buchhi Lakshmi and Appadaasu, who live a lonely yet
happy life in their own world.
Midhunam
is a story of old parents made as a visual poetry. The movie has only the two
protagonists and is a portrayal of what we are missing in today’s lifestyle, in
what direction we are moving and how we are living.
The result of this poetic dream is now
a cinematic excellence which is shot in lush green locales and is as fresh as
morning dew. The music is already a hit with enchanting voices of J.Yesudas and
S.P.Balasubramanyam taking us through the journey, as all the songs are
situational. The movie is ready for release in the month of November and we
wish the entire team a very successful run.
Yesudas and Janaki have
rendered two songs. Complete with a 'Coffee Dandakam' by Jonnavitthula
Ramalingeshwara Rao, the film was shot at a village in Srikakulam district.
Anand Muyida of AMR Productions is planning to
release the movie in the month of November. Post Production work is completed
