Story: A spoof tale, the story begins with Shiva (Allari Naresh) who grows up and wants to be a real hero in society. He grows up with his grandmother (kovai sarala) and doesn’t know about the whereabouts of his parents (Allari Naresh (again), hema). Meanwhile, Shiva sees Priya (monal) and falls in love with her. She also accepts his love and as usual her father objects. Shiva grows up to become a rich man and the marriage gets fixed. But Shiva is asked about his parents and he decides to find them. They live in Seemapuram working with Thikkala Reddy (jayaprakash) a noted factionist. And Thikkala Reddy is waiting to take his revenge on Shiva. Why he wants to do that? Whether Shiva will unite with his parents or not, all this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with an interesting storyline and while the presentation was good, the narrative was good in parts.  The dialogues were well written, the script was entertaining but the screenplay was not that engaging. Background score was effective and three songs are the highlight. Cinematography was upto the mark. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were stylish and trendy while the art department was good. Allari Naresh stole the show with his performance and his dialogue delivery is good. Monal Gajjar looks highly seductive and she would shine in future with good potential. Jayaprakash Reddy was hilarious. Brahmanandam was okay. M S Narayana, Kondavalasa and L B Sriram were different. Sayaji Shinde was standard. Krishna Bhagawan, Chalapathi Rao, Jeeva, Jyothi and others were there to fill the screen.
Conclusion: The film is the remake of the Tamil movie Tamizh Padam and though the original didn’t work, the remake has worked to an extent. While the first half looks quite energetic and has shown good promise, the second half dwindles and gets dragged unnecessarily. The climax twist was not that great. But still, the attempt to come up with such genre and few comedy scenes were very good. At the box office, the film will have very good openings due to hype and Allari Naresh factor so commercially it would be a safe venture.

IdleStars verdict: Not a great ‘Sudi’ but good enough
