Story: A dull tale, the story begins with David Billa (ajith) who belongs to a refugee camp and grows up with a fire inside him to reach the top. For that, he doesn’t hesitate to take the path of crime. He starts dealing drugs and this takes him to the don in Goa Abbas (sudhanshu pandey). David becomes a close person to Abbas but one deal with Russian Dimitri (vidyut) creates a difference of opinion. David Billa separates from Abbas and from then on he starts operating on his own. Whether he is able to rise in power or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a predictable storyline and while the presentation was very good, the narrative was bad. The dialogues were good at places, the script was average and the screenplay was weak. Background score was decent and two songs brought relief. Cinematography was superb. Editing was required at few places. Costumes were stylish and appealing while the art department was apt. Ajith has come up with a responsible performance and carries it in a matured way. Bruna Abdullah was hot and gave visual feast. Parvathy Omanakuttan was expressive but not pretty. Sudhanshu Pandey was neat, Vidyut Jamwal was good, Yog Japee was upto the mark, Meenakshi Dixit was highly seductive. The others didn’t have much to offer.

Conclusion: The film happens to be the dubbed version of the Tamil movie Billa 2 and though it has come with high promise it doesn’t really have that much to deliver. While the first half goes about with the layering of the plot, the second half begins to execute it. Overall, there is a lot of strength in the production department and the style but there was not enough content to catch the audience attention. At the box office, this may be a below average grosser.

Idlestars verdict: Good visual, bad narrative
