Story: A simple story, the tale begins with the young Avinash (raj) who has been unable to do well in his academics and despite his best efforts he is unable to get the breakthrough. Apparently, he is going through a phase of loneliness which his parents are unable to fulfill due to their busy lives. Avinash decides to take a break and visit his grandfather (raghuveer yadav) after many years. The grandfather uses the art of kite flying and kite and slowly teaches Avinash about the important values of life and how to face challenges. Whether that brings a change or not forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a simple concept and though the presentation was different, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were well written, the script was moderate and the screenplay was decent. Background score was suitable and two songs were worth humming. Cinematography was excellent and editing was required during the second half. Costumes were suiting the characters and the art department was apt. Raj Tandon has carried the role with confidence, Anya Anand was pretty and did her bit well. Yashpal Sharma was good. The real showstealer was Raghuveer Yadav with his fine performance. Manjusha Godse was moderate, Kishore Nadalskar was regular.

Conclusion: The film deals with the contemporary issues that today’s youth has been facing. Elements like peer pressure, academic pressure, society pressure and how that is driving today’s generation towards isolation has been explained well. While the first half goes about in a layer of sadness it is the second half which instills some confidence and positive moments. However, there are situations where the key moments were not captured well. Overall, this is a film which is simple and could be an average grosser at the box office.

IdleStars verdict: Sensible and simple ..
