Preview: DARUVU

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja has been going through a string of flops since a while and despite his best efforts, his movies are unable to click at the box office. And now he is arriving with yet another venture and sources say he is quite confident that this should set things right. We are talking about the film Daruvu and it is gearing up to hit the screens on May 25th. Ravi Teja is pairing up with the milky thigh beauty Taapsee and it also has Brahmanandam doing a very important role.

The film is directed by Souryam Shiva and it is produced by Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna. Slated to be a complete commercial entertainer, the film also has a socio fantasy element involving the Yama Lokam and the character of Yama Dharmaraju is being essayed by the Kollywood veteran Prabhu, son of Sivaji Ganesan. The entire flavor of the film is going to be quite hilarious and with several comedy, romance and action episodes, as per sources.

The songs composed by Vijay Antony had the typical Tamil flavor and were able to appeal to the masses. The cinematography is by the talented Vetri and the editing department is taken care of by Gautham Raju. This is being presented under the Sri Venkateshwara Entertainments banner. Inside talk is that the sequences between Ravi Teja and Brahmanandam will be a highlight and their comedy would be much stronger than their earlier movies like Krishna or Kick.

Brahmanandam's character is called Vidya Balan as he essays the role of a dance master. As such, the film is very important for both Ravi Teja, Taapsee along with the director. Though they are facing the challenge of 'Gabbar Singh' onslaught if the film manages to have a decent entertainment quotient it can rule the roost for two weeks without any hitch since there is no other release around. Let us hope 'Daruvu' creates the much needed sound at the box office then.
