‘Jhankaar Beats’ sequel on cards

Filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh has expressed his desire to make a sequel of his 2003 musical smash hit film ‘Jhaankar Beats’. The filmmaker who is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Kahaani’ along with Vidya Balan plans to make the sequel with the similar cast he had worked on his earlier film.

‘Jhankaar Beats’ marked Sujoy’s debut in the field of direction and the film even got critically acclaimed. Sujoy in his recent media interaction revealed that he has penned down a script for the sequel of his multi-starrer film and would start working on it once his upcoming film ‘Kahaani’ hits the theatres.

Meanwhile, Ghosh even revealed that as his earlier film was a tribute to legendary singer R. D. Burman and was high on music, however this time he would utilize less music and would focus on the story.
