Story: A romantic tale, the story is set on the backdrop of Mumbai and here is Sachin (prateik) who has a strong obsession for cinema and wants to make it big. His life takes a turn when he comes across Jessie (amy jackson) and it is love at first sight for him. From then on, Sachin gets drawn to Jessie but she hails from an orthodox Malayali Christian family wherein films and love are a strict taboo. Jessie from her end does her best to stop her feelings for Sachin and wants to cover it with friendship. But how long will it last? Will their love be successful? All this forms the rest of the story.

Presentation: The director has come up with a familiar storyline and while the presentation was pleasant, the narrative was good in parts. The dialogues were sensible and simple with a wit of their own. The script was average but screenplay was the highlight. Background score was energetic but not all songs were that special. Cinematography was top notch. Editing was required during the second half. Costumes were trendy and stylish while the art department was colorful and natural. Prateik is a natural performer and he conveys the mood of a crazy lover in the right way. Amy Jackson looks pretty but she could not deliver the intensity at key places. Sachin Khedekar was good. Babu Anthony was impressive. Vikas Menon was good. Ramesh Sippy was nice.

Conclusion: The film happens to be the remake of the Telugu movie ‘Ye Maya Chesave’ which was a raging hit. However, while the content and packaging of the film was good, the director dragged certain sequences which took out the steam. While the first half goes about with the elements of romance and some ups and downs, it is the second half when the intensity increases and emotional melodrama happens. However, the film loses out due to the dragged sequences and weak writing at those points. Overall, it gives a pleasant feeling but in parts. At the box office, this could be an average grosser.

IdleStars.Com verdict: Not gripping as the original!!
