So far, he has been called as the prince of Tollywood but now he is getting a new title and that too from USA. We are talking about Mahesh Babu and the buzz is that his new title is Million Dollar Star. Yes, the reason for this is the collections of Mahesh’s latest movie ‘Dookudu’ in overseas.
It is heard that the film amassed a whopping 1 million US dollars within the first two days in USA. So now, the producers of his next movie such as RR Venkat of ‘The Businessman’ and Dil Raju of ‘Seetamma vakitlo sirimalle chettu’ (starring Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh) are reportedly demanding 1 million US dollars for overseas rights of the film.
While this is sounding exorbitant, there is also a talk that few distributors overseas are already preparing themselves mentally to cough up such huge money and grab the rights at the earliest. At this rate, Mahesh will be redefining the economics of overseas Tollywood box office in his own way.
