‘Zanjeer’ should be remade says Salman
Bollywood actor Salman Khan, son of veteran film writer Salim Khan lately expressed his displeasure after learning that 1973 hit film ‘Zanjeer’ would be remade again. Apparently, Salim Khan penned down the script for the original film that featured veteran actor, couple Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan. Apparently, lyricist Javed Akhtar who has co-scripted the film along with Salim strongly backs Salim and has admitted that the foriginal film was a great piece of masterwork and remaking it would not be great idea.
Conversely, superstar Salman Khan has contradicted his father’s statements and has shown a support to remake the film. Salman in his recent media interaction added ‘Since ‘Zanjeer’ was a superhit film, it shall be remade. My dad even scripted Amitji’s ‘Don’ and later two times the film was remade. I don’t have any objections to the remake film’.
Directed by Apoorva Lakhia the remake film is been helmed by Prakash Mehra’s son Amit.
