The top most and sought after encyclopaedia on the internet is Wikipedia and it must be said that many have enriched their knowledge after visiting this website. However, this hot site has been facing the threat of a shutdown thanks to an initiative by the US Congress and its laws.
However, Wikipedia seems to be in no mood to give up and they came up with their online agitation. As part of that, they have blacked out their site for 24 hours with the following message - Imagine a World Without Free Knowledge…For over a decade, we have spent millions of hours building the largest encyclopaedia in human history.

This call for support has been met with overwhelming response, as per sources. Apparently, millions follow Wikipedia each day and this restriction of information by the US government is not being taken sweetly.
