Yesterday Karthi who was the chief guest of an event was not allowed due to improper dress code.
It happened at the Madras Gymkhana Club's 125th year celebration event, where Karthi arrived to inagurate a New Association. at the Gymkahana venue that was organised by Tamilnadu Theater Owners Association.
Madras Gymkhana Club is a prestigious Elites Club who strictly follow dress codes. Karthi who arrived the event in casuals sporting T-shirt and Jeans was stopped by the guards at the entrance gate.
Embarassed by the situation Karthi stood speechless, then arrived the newly formed association members Paneerselvam and Annamalai who requested the members to allow him inside but they didn't accept their approval.
Later the two rushed to a nearby showroom to buy collared formal shirts, while Karthi was requested to wait inside his car. After the change of dress code the actor was allowed inside the club.
